Costa Rica and Panama eye trade accord with Korea
Costa Rica and Panama will begin to hold preliminary talks on a free trade with South Korea, said René Castro, the Costa Rican foreign minister.
The minister said that the agreement would be very important to Costa Rica, though it involve tough and prolonged bargaining in talks. The first contacts and feasibility studies among the three nations are expected to bein in the coming weeks.
The Koreans are reported to be interested in Costa Rica being a location of one of the major technology parks that Korea is planning overseas.
