Costa Rica better, Honduras worse
The non-governmental organization Transparency International revealed its 2010 Corruption Perceptions Index. The study covered 178 countries, 28 from the Americas, and on a scale from zero to 10.
In Central America, Costa Rica was number 41 in the ranking at 5.3 points, followed by El Salvador and Panama at joint 73 with 3.6 points. Guatemala came in at number 91 with 3.2 points.
The regional tail-enders were Nicaragua with 2.5 points in number 127 and Honduras with 2.4 at number 134.
