Costa Rica draws growing number of foreign visitors for medical care and treatment

Many foreigners are attracted to Costa Rica’s beaches and tropical climate, but a growing number are interested in seeking medical care there.

 

US visitors seek orthopedics, heart surgery, dentistry, plastic surgery and cancer treatments.

 

Costa Rica has a large number of private health clinics with international certifications. It also has medical costs that are less than 15 or up to 85 percent less than those in the United States.
