Costa Rica drops in ranking of World Economic Forum

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Costa Rica fell 12 places, from 46 to 58, in the World Economic Forum's global ranking on information and economics.

The main reason for the fall were the lack of technology infrastructure and excessive state bureaucracy.

Costa Rica did, however, remain as a leader in Central America, thanks to its educational system and broad-band Internet.
