Costa Rica exceeded export goals

Costa Rica exceeded its export goals for goods and services last year, when it achieved exports of $16.87 billion, while the government’s stated goal was $15.75 billion for 2012, according to the Ministry of Foreign Trade, Comex.
Services represented $5.5 billion of total exports, an 8.9 percent increase over 2011.
Costa Rica’s primary exports in 2012 were electronic devices, 19.9 percent, pineapple, 7 percent, and bananas, 6.8 percent.
