Costa Rica faces VAT countdown

With only two weeks to before the launch of a value-added tax, known as IVA in Spanish, in Costa Rica, people and businesses want to know how they will be affected.

Some of the rules provide more time for the first declaration and there will be delays in charges for Netflix and Airbnb. But there are plenty of doubts over the charging of goods that at present pay no tax, and the manner in which forms have to be filled each month, reports La República.
