Costa Rica fast-food chains bombard consumers with advertising and special offers

A fast food war is underway in Costa Rica as companies vie for customers and market share.

Consumers are being bombarded with all kinds of advertising, from billboards, to flyers to newspaper and television ads and special pricing offers to get their share of customers.

In Costa Rica there are almost 12,000 restaurants, of which 350 restaurants are operated by 12 fast-food chains.
