Costa Rica flotation is right move, says de Paula

Costa Rica’s change to a currency based on free flotation is the right move, says former central bank president, Francisco de Paula Gutiérrez says.

However, he adds that some people might think that the value of the dollar will be stable under the new system and contract debt on dollars, and that could be risky.
