Costa Rica has the biggest fiscal deficit in Central America

Ten years ago, Costa Rica boasted off a fiscal surplus. Ever since then, however, there has been a deficit, and it has snowballed.
This year, the State will account for 21.6 percent of GDP, the highest figure in all of Central America.
