Costa Rica hires only bilingual teachers

Would-be teachers and want to find a job in the Costa Rican public sector will in future have to citify their ability to speak English, no matters whatever their specialism is.

This will be one of the measures that the Education ministry is designing in conjunction with the Alliance Bilingualism  in an effort to make Costa Ricans speak more English.

Édgar Mora, the Education minister says that both public and private universities have got to ensure that their students learn English before they begin to teach
