Costa Rica in talks with GTherm of US on 12 megawatt geothermal pilot project

The Costa Rican electricity utility, ICE, is currently in discussions with US company GTherm about using their technology in a 12 megawatt geothermal pilot project.
One of the drawbacks of traditional geothermal plants is that they require significant quantities of water to operate.
GTherm's closed-circuit system so it has a much lower water requirement.
