Friday, October 3, 2014

Costa Rica's Ministry for Transport signed this week an agreement with Google's Waze.

Together, the Ministry and Waze will launch a pilot program called "Smart Cities", aimed at smoothing traffic flow in the Central American country's capital.

San José is one of 10 worldwide cities implementing the program, and Costa Rica is among the five Latin American countries with most Waze users, said vice minister of Road Safety and Land Transport, Sebastián Urbina.
