Thursday, July 29, 2010

The state-owned Banco Nacional de Costa Rica is to request a $100 million loan from China to finance small businesses.

The request, which will be presented to the Chinese development bank, amounts to an increase of $40 million to a facility provided last year.

Costa Rica aims to seal the deal during Sunday’s visit to Costa Rica for the Chinese foreign minister, Yang Jiechi. Yang’s agenda includes other projects related to cooperation between the two countries.
