Costa Rica is regional number one

Costa Rica is number one in Latin America and 34 in the world in the annual The Good Country ranking prepared by the British political and social analyst Simon Anholt. "Culture" and "Peace and Security" were among the categories where Costa Rica did best.

The second Latin American country in the ranking was Chile, at number 35, just one place ahead of Costa Rica. Uruguay was third in 49th place, La República reports.
