Costa Rica: leader in access to Facebook

Close to 35% of Costa Ricans have a Facebook page, a level well above the penetration of the social network in any other Central American country.

Second in the region is Panama, while Nicaragua has the lowest access level.

Worldwide (leavingout micro countries), the leaders in Facebook penetration are Iceland, Norway and Chile, where no less than 54% of the population is connected.


Figures represent the level of penetration of Facebook, according to a report published last month by the Social Bakers website.
