Costa Rica leads in ease of world travel

Costa Ricans can travel to 131 countries without a visa, more than any of its neighbors, according to the 2016 Visa Restrictions Index, published by Henley & Partners.
Only 32 countries have easier access than Costa Rica, which is followed in the region by Panama, ranked 36th, with visa-free access to 127 destinations.
A passport from German, in first place globally, allows visa-free travel to 177 countries, while Afghanistan is last, with 25.
The VisaRestrictions Index considers 219 countries, giving one point for each visa-free destination (numbers in brackets indicate overall position).
