Costa Rica leads in talent

Costa Rica leads Central America in producing, attracting and retaining talent, according to the Global Talent Competitiveness Index of Insead Business School.

Ranked 39th overall, Costa Rica placed 25th in attracting talent.

Panama, second in the isthmus, is 48th globally, but two places ahead of Costa Rica in the attraction category.

Nicaragua, in 99th position worldwide, had the worst ranking in the isthmus.

Globally, Switzerland is its first place, while Madagascar is last.

The annual report ranks 118 nations, based on talent attraction, development and retention, along with enabling, vocational and technical skills (numbers in brackets indicate the global position of each country).
