Marinas lead new tourism and real estate development in Costa Rica’s Golfito region.
Golfito Marina Village & Resort offers suites and villas at prices ranging from $345,000 to $2.1 million, and a private-island residence priced at $4 million.
The marina expects to have 132 slips for boats ranging from 12 meters to 110 meters.
The first phase of the project, whose total investment is valued at $42 million, should be finished by September.
Proposed resorts at Banana Bay and Crocodile Bay have not started construction; however, both have permits.
The Golfito and Golfo Dulce regions, on Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast, offer sport fishing and easy access to parks and nature reserves.
