Costa Rica mega-project offers mega-opportunities

The new container port of Moín on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast, is expected to open in 2016. It will be the largest infrastructure investment project in the country's history.

The project represents big business opportunities for several sectors in Costa Rica's economy, as well as the creation of new jobs for the people of Limón, the region's main city.

The first stage of the project includes a $545 million investment for the construction of two 600 metre docks, while the second stage, to be completed over the next decade, will include a $250 million investment for expansion and equipment.
