Costa Rica mini-pay hike would cost $45 million

Plans devised by trade unions propose an increase in Costa Rica’s minimum wage that would cost companies and their employees $45 million a year.

But that calculation makes no account for inflation. According to the plan, the minimum wage would rise in tandem to the cost of living.
