Costa Rica pact under threat, says World Bank

If the Costa Rican government fails to correct its deficit, pushing its debt to levels that can no longer be sustained and so threatening the nation’s social pact, the World Bank has warned.

Similar warnings have been issued by Costa Rica’s comptroller, the International Monetary Fund and the ratings agencies.
