Costa Rica poised to approve Peru trade accord

Costa Rica is set to approve a free trade agreement with Peru, according to Sara Faingezicht, Costa Rica's Ambassador in Lima.

Faingezicht said Costa Rica's legislature would most likely be approving the agreement by the end of the year, and said the treaty would open up markets in both countries.

"The ratification is in its second debate in the legislature, which will not present any discussions. We hope that it is ready by the end of the year," Faingezicht was quoted as saying.
