Costa Rica residential tourism in spotlight

Costa Rica's residential tourism sector is attracting the attention of developers and tax authorities, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The sector competes with hotels, however, its tax contribution is less.

For real estate developers, the sector represents an important income source, given Costa Rica's growing popularity among North American and European retirees.
