Costa Rica retail sector looks for solutions

Costa Rica's retail sector has turned to making offers at unusual periods in the year, in an attempt to counter the sector's poor performance this year, Costa rican daily La República reported.

Representatives from the sector expect it to grow 3.5 percent this year.

Among the factors affecting the sector are higher consumer prices, which have gone up 5 percent up to June this year, compared to 4 percent for the same month last year.
