Costa Rica's coffee producers need 80,000 workers to pick the harvest. Institute sets up hotline for those interested

Wednesday, December 7, 2011

Costa Rica's coffee growers require at least 80,000 people to harvest the expected 2.75 million bushels this season.

The estimates of the harvest are by the nation’s coffee institute, Icafé, which has enabled a phone line for producers to report the number of collectors they need and the farm location.

Icafé producers asked to submit their reports of need for labour as soon as possible to give a fast and timely service and contribute to collection in all regions.
