Costa Rica's consumer confidence boosts 4,000 jobs in retail sector

The sounds of the cash registers spurred by consumer confidence meant an increase of almost 4,000 new jobs for the first four months of 2010 in the retail sector.

The positive news was indicated in a survey that was taken between May 21 and June 4.

Arnoldo André, president of the Chamber of Commerce explained that consumer confidence had led retailers out of the financial slump.
