Costa Rica’s economy moves at a snail’s pace

Costa Ricans are receiving a strict doses of austerity in various sectors of their economy, the Finance Ministry says.

Public-sector workers will find their wages frozen in most cases, with meager increments in the later half of the year.

All of this comes after a decade in which the nation’s governments built up a debt off $25 billion.
