Costa Rica's economy to benefit from nature

Costa Rica's natural resources could become 10 percent of the country's economy in the near future, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The economic activities involved in the nation's natural resources include tourism, research and energy projects.

Currently, these activities account for 5 percent of the economy, but the government needs to work on projects such as wind farms, geothermal plants and boost academic research to generate more income.
