Costa Rica's González fails to make cut for WTO

The Costa Rican Minister of foreign trade, Anabel González, has been left out of the race to become the director of the World Trade Organization.

González, along with candidates from Jordan, Kenya and Ghana, failed to pass the first elimination round.

The only candidate in the region left is Mexico's Herminio Blanco, who passed to the next round along with candidates from Brazil, New Zealand, Indonesia and South Korea.
