Costa Rica's MECO played major role

Constructora MECO of Costa Rica played an importan role in the widening of the Canal, including works that cost some $430 million.
José Alfredo Sánchez, the MECO vice-president, said that the experience and prestige involved has “opened the doors to South America” for the company.
