Costa Rica’s middle class to be given facilities for housing
Middle-class people in Costa Rica will be offered facilities to acquire homes of their own, both by means of credits or by state subsidies, Laura Chinchilla, the president, has ordered.
The aim is to being the middle class into the housing mainstream where, in the past, they have been left on the sidelines.
The other objective is to revive the depressed building industry.
The first steps have been taken along the way in the form of four bills that Chinchilla has sent to the Legislative Assembly.
