Costa Rica's Racsa signs deals and accords with local companies for Internet services
Competition for provision of Internet service has driven Racsa, a subsidiary of the state Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad, to sign deals and agreements with local companies.
These alliances are expected to help Racsa emerge from the financial problems it has been dealing with over the last two years.
Racsa aims to start offering services such as Web TV, IP telephony, remote security monitoring, and fibre-optic broadband.
