Costa Rica's San José shows a new face to the world

San José, the capital of Costa RIca, has reinvented itself as an attractive and friendly city for tourism and business.

The Financial Times once placed it as the "fifth Latin American city of the future", due to the amount of direct foreign investment it has received over the last decade.

San José is also the ninth safest city in Latin America and the eighth in terms of life quality, said international consultancy company Mercer.
