Costa Rica’s state insurer sets out to break new ground in regional markets

Costa Rica’s state insurance company, Instituto Nacional de Seguros, will soon be able to compete in international markets.

After two years of waiting and fighting with red tape, the company will be given official permission.

The aim of the management is to set up units in Central America, at least at first in Panama and Nicaragua.
