Costa Rica's test: keep and lure multinationals

Costa Rica's new government faces the challenge of boosting competitiveness in order to maintain and attract large multinationals, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

Intel, HP and Amazon are among the 200 multinationals who employ more than 10,000 Costa Ricans.

For the country's government, it is important to maintain these firms in operation due to their economic impact, however, among the challenges are getting enough technical experts to work at those firms and keep operation costs attractive.
