Costa Rica's thermal springs are tourism treasure

In Costa Rica, there are about 150 thermal springs, more than you’d expect from a small country.
Many bask in the heat of volcanoes and are well-manicured for Costa Rica’s more than 2 million annual visitors. Together, this cluster of thermal springs in the northern part of the country makes for a soothing, healthy getaway that’s unlike anything in the U.S.
