Costa Rican companies complain about a shortage of technicians, professionals and post-graduate specialists in several areas.
A deficit has emerged in multi-media programming, web development, sales of technical equipment, telecommunications engineering, software development and other areas.
However, the private sector is unwilling to contribute to the training required by the universities, said Sandra Leon, rector of the National University.
