Costa Rica seeks to be leader in congresses and expos

The 30th edition of Expotur in Costa Rica, to be held next month, will aim to place the country as a top destination for events and congress tourism.

Costa Rica hopes to show its potential and opportunities to the 220 companies that have confirmed their participation in the expo.

To help achieve that goal, construction has begun on a new $30 million convention center which will hold up to 10,000 people, according to Costa Rica's tourism authority.
