Costa Rica sees success with Cafta

The World Bank said Costa Rica has seen substantial benefits after the implementation of the U.S., Central America and Caribbean trade accord, Cafta, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

Representatives from the bank are in Costa Rica ahead of the fifth anniversary of the accord.

The largest benefits for Costa Rica have been the opening of its telecoms and insurance markets, as well as attracting more investments as U.S. companies show more confidence towards the country.
