Costa Rica sells 13 percent less coffee

Costa Rican coffee sales dropped 13 percent due to the coffee rust plague, the World Coffee Organization said.

The figure shows sales from the first seven months of the coffee growing season.

From October 2012 to April 2013, Costa Rica sold 702 million bags of 60 kilos each, compared to $807 million bags during the same period last season.
