Costa Rica set to have new container port

Costa Rica is set to have a new container port at Moín, after a positive ruling by the government last week.

The decision has boosted the private sector's mood, which sees the project as a way to make Costa Rica's exports more competitive and help lower import costs.

"The country's competitiveness depends on projects like this, that allow the export and import sectors better conditions to reach their goals," said Enrique Egloff, president of the Costa Rican industry chamber.
