Costa Rica shoe-horns into trade pact with Colombia

The free trade agreement between Colombia and Costa Rica was successfully signed yesterday.

Sectors such as agriculture, food and metals were excluded from the agreement, which put representatives at ease after being worried it might affect their production.

Both Costa Rican and Colombian companies will benefit from this agreement, and we hope more companies come forward to take advantage from it, said Sergio Diaz-Granados, Colombian minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism.
