Costa Rica takes an about-turn on its plants to grant concessions for Caribbean ports

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

The post of Limón and Moín in the Costa Rican Caribbean coast are no longer to be handed over for modernization by the private sector.

The government took an about-turn on its plans to modernize the ports by means of concessions.

The change was provoked by the strong opposition to the plan by the longshoremen at the ports.
