The Costa Rican port of Limón could improve its ship handling times by up to 19 hours, Costa Rican paper La República reported.
The port authority will invest more than $70 million in modern equipment and a new dock, in an attempt to improve the country's poor image in the region's seaport sector.
Some $55 million of the total investment has been secured, and will be provided by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration.
