Costa Rica to close 2017 with $1 billion banana export record

Costa Rica will close this year with a record in banana exports, both in volume and in exports.

The national banana corporation expects a total export by the end of 2017 with 121 million boxes sold. It is also expected that, for the first time, the sales of the fruit exceed an annual income of $1 billion.
