Costa Rica to join Pacific Alliance this year

Costa Rica will likely become a member of the Pacific Alliance this year.

This month, representatives from Costa Rica will take part in the Pacific Alliance summit, to be held in Cali, Colombia, where Costa Rica and Colombia will sign a bilateral free trade agreement.

Once the bilateral accord is signed and comes into effect this September, preparations for Costa Rica's Pacific Alliance membership will begin.
