Costa Rican bosses are best paid in Central America

Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador have the best-paid senior executives in Central America according to a report by the consultancy PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Bosses in Costa Rica earn an average of $5,233 a month, in Guatemala $4,270 and El Salvador $3,734. Top executives in Panama earn on average $3,734, Honduras $3,465 and Nicaragua $2880.

The labor scene is rapidly changing, the study adds. There is more diversity, new careers are begin devised by new technology and new career routes are opening out.
