Costa Rican bosses to launch agency to denounce corruption

Costa Rica’s private sector will have a deartment of internal affairs within the Finance ministry by the end of this year. The aim of the department is to air cases in which public officials have been involved in corruption.

Companies have long complained about the red tape required for import permits for example, and the process has been smoothed over by officials who seek bribes in order to speed matters up.
