Costa Rican brewer Fifco pulls out of tourism project on the Papagayo Peninsula
Friday, January 20, 2012

Florida Ice & Farm (Fifco) has decided to withdraw from its minority status in a Papagayo Peninsula tourism venture in Guanacaste province on the northwest Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
The move was explained as the company's allergy to possessing a minority status in a project.
Fifco is best known as the food and beverage conglomerate that owns, among other businesses, Cerveceria de Costa Rica, brewer of popular beers such as Imperial, and as the new owner of the chain of Musmanni bakeries.
