Tuesday, September 6, 2011

Coffee exports fell more than 21 percent in August compared to the same month last year, the Costa Rican coffee institute, Icafé, reported.

August was the third consecutive month that national coffee exports fell in comparison to 2010 figures.

After exceeding 2010 figures during the first five months of the coffee harvest year, which begins in October, coffee exports have been below last year’s figures in five of the last six months.
